This week’s challenge is to show the season where we live. We’ve been having glorious summer days with lots of bright blue skies and warm evenings sometimes without a breeze, which meant lots of people were still swimming in the ocean after sunset.
We’ve also sweltered in a heatwave of five consecutive days over 40 degrees Celsius (which broke a 50 year old record) during last week. This week saw some more high temperatures and another 42 degree Celsius (107.6 Fahrenheit) day. My garden is suffering at the moment and even though I water regularly some plants have taken strain. The heat has really taken its toll on my passion fruit vine (or granadilla as it’s called in some parts of the world).

Another beautiful and wind still morning in Perth

Ons braai ook uit hierdie kant!Pragtige foto’s.

Enjoy the season – soon it will be fall, then winter. Heat sounds wonderful – it feels like spring where I am – Midwestern USA – but winter will return next week and longer for longer than we want. Enjoy the weekend. Cheers.

Thank you, we do enjoy the season. We really can’t complain because even in winter we sometimes have the most amazing mild blue sky days. I hope winter doesn’t stay around too much longer for you guys. Have a great weekend.

Lovely photos of your beautiful city. I was in Perth for a few days last week, sorry I didn’t think to get in touch to meet up for a coffee. It was rather hot for me, but my daughter and I enjoyed the city, the Pinnacles, Freo and Rottnest Island.

Thanks Ruth, I’m glad you got to see a bit of Perth. Rottnest Island is one of my favourite spots in WA.

I’m in the Midwest US as well and we’re still mostly in winter. But spring will come. I’ll send you a bit of colder weather if possible. 🙂 We can even things out.
